Stirling Business Centre upgraded
Friday, 24 March 2017
Federal Member for Stirling Michael Keenan has officially opened the refurbished Stirling Business Centre which has undergone a transformation to improve existing facilities.
The Centre, which is managed by the Stirling Business Association, now provides a functional working space and café thanks to a Federal Government grant of $20,000.
Mr Keenan said local business owners and employees have the opportunity to benefit from new offices, virtual tenancies, and meeting and training room facilities.
“Being part of a co-working community is becoming vitally important to small businesses,” Mr Keenan said.
“Employees from different industries are able to come together, share their experiences, their skill sets and ideas, and provide it to others.
“It also means you can be surrounded by potential partners, clients and mentors, which I believe is really significant for expanding businesses.”
Stirling Business Association Chief Executive Officer Yvonne Atkinson said she was grateful for the grant as it’s opening up a wide range of benefits for the Stirling small business community.
“The expansion is allowing us to reach out to more local businesses and increase the participation within the centre,” Ms Atkinson said.
“We are committed to fostering a community of small businesses that support and strengthen each other so that everyone can succeed.”
The Stirling Business Centre is located at 45 Delawney Street in Balcatta and is open from 8:30am to 5:00pm on weekdays.
“I would like to thank the Stirling Business Centre for creating this flexible co-working space and I look forward to keeping in touch with local businesses and members over the coming months,” Mr Keenan said.
