Federal Member for Stirling Michael Keenan has highlighted the incredible hard work of teachers in the Stirling electorate, as students and schools celebrate World Teachers’ Day today.
Mr Keenan said it was a great opportunity to recognise and thank educators who inspire, challenge and encourage students to reach their full potential.
“Everyone can remember the teachers and school leaders who had the biggest impact on their own education,” Mr Keenan said.
“On World Teachers’ Day we pay tribute to them and the huge difference they make to the lives of those around them.”
In Stirling, there are hundreds of teachers working across 55 State, Catholic and Independent schools.
“Today we are reminded just how much of a contribution our hard working local teachers make to our community and why they deserve our thanks every day,” Mr Keenan said.
